This book containing for innovative practice of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in a number of experimental districts and schools actively since 1998 in China, which has implemented the basic ideas, teaching and learning principles and innovative practice ESD across the country successfully.

There are four parts in this book. The first part introduces the guidance of ESD experimental practice in China, namely the theoretical guidance and practice suggestion for implementing ESD the past 15 years in China.
The Second part describe the Chinese mode to carry out ESD in formal education.
The Third part introduces the construction of high-quality schools under the leadership of the idea of ESD.
The last part is about constructing national ESD experimental districts.

All parts introduce and evaluate outstanding cases in some districts and experimental schools.
